Thomas E. Taylor

Thomas E. Taylor, 78, of Goshen passed away, Friday, May 9, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

He was born August 27, 1946 in Deland, Piatt County, Illinois to David and Mildred (Vance) Taylor.

On August 19, 1993 he married Susan Bishop.

She survives along with sons, Matthew (Jennifer) Taylor, Ossian, Mark (Janelys) Taylor, Bristol; a daughter, Tammie Harris, Goshen; step-son, Steven Showalter, Goshen; six grandchildren, Brittanie, Tyson, Brayden, Lauren, Kylie and Cameron; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylun and Rylie.

He is also survived by siblings, Judith Freeby, Robert (Geneva) Taylor, Donald (Karen) Taylor and Harold Taylor, all of Goshen.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Joan Clifton and Sue Burgess, and brothers Richard and Rusty Taylor.

Mr. Taylor worked for Fidler Ready-Mix, following his retirement, he worked for Goshen Community Schools. He enjoyed time with family and was an avid collector of clown and Corvette memorabilia.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, with a private interment at Violett Cemetery at a later time.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Spring Brooke Clubhouse, Goshen.
