Thelma G. Vogel

Thelma G. Vogel, 94, of Goshen, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born August 31, 1921 in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania to David F. and Amelia C. (Wettig) Greenawalt.

On April 1, 1950 she married Fred T. Vogel. He died June 8, 2009.

Survivors include four children, Joan (Bob) Huhta of Orlando, Florida, Nancy (Ray) Laborde of Elkhart; James (Jeannie) Vogel of Elmira, NY, and Donald (Paula) Vogel of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mrs. Vogel was a graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and member of First Baptist Church, Goshen.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Thelma’s sons, Jim and Don Vogel, and son-in-law, Ray Laborde will officiate.

A private burial in West Goshen Cemetery will take place prior to the service.
