Thelma June Chrisman, 94, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Waterford Crossing Healthcare.
She was born April 24, 1932, in York Township, Elkhart County, to Perry and Lottie (Bowman) Grosse.
Thelma married Chauncey Chrisman on September 18, 1953, in Goshen. He preceded her in death.
Surviving is daughter Cathy (Paul) Webb, Goshen, daughter-in-law Brenda Chrisman, Bristol; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Chauncey, sons Michael and Mitchell Chrisman, grandchildren Justin Chrisman and Carrie Wilson, brother Edgar Grosse, and sister Mary McClain.
A co-owner of Chrisman Enterprises, Thelma dedicated many years to the metal fabrication industry in Elkhart. She was known not only for her strong work ethic but also for the pride she took in helping build a family business.
Above all, she cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, vacations, gardening, flying with Chauncey, and creating lasting memories through simple, meaningful moments. She was a hands-on grandmother whose love and presence will be deeply missed.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 5, from 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Chaplain John Shrock will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
