Terry "Walter" Wayne Maloyed

Goshen – Terry “Walter” Wayne Maloyed, 67, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the home of his sister.

He was born April 19, 1958 in New Castle, son of James David Pierce and Patricia Ellen (Butler) Pierce.

Survivors include three children, James (Chrissy) Maloyed, Angelica (Frank) Ring, and Ashley (Jake Winters) Maloyed; and four grandchildren, Terris Maloyed, Madyson, Franklin Ring and Elayna Grace.

He is also survived by sisters, Crystal Purvis and Melony (Chris) Bennett; niece, Amanda Moninger, nephew, Thomas Purvis and great-nephews, Bruce Purvis and Austin Prince.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Pierce and a brother-in-law, Bruce Purvis.

Terry worked as a commercial plumber who loved his family. He enjoyed martial arts, beer, playing the guitar and cheering for the Indianapolis Colts.

He loved, camping, fishing and hunting. One of his favorite songs was “Freebird”.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
