Terry Nelson Gantt

Terry Nelson Gantt, 69, of Milford, died on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Goshen Hospital.

He was born October 17, 1955 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Willie Ledford and Bobbie Eugene (Hullender) Gantt.

On September 18, 1993 he married Melody Sue Kuhns in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Survivors include his lovely wife, Melody Sue Gantt.

Terry has five children, Terry (Heather) Gantt, Jr., Alabama, Jessie (Bill) Stewart, Goshen, Holly Gantt, Mishawaka, Tracy Gantt, Mishawaka, Mindy (Brandon) Wilson, Mishawaka, and Dennis (Kelly Swinehart) Setterberg, New Paris, Kim (Jack) Mell, Granger, Colleen Hesch, Milford and Angie Gingerich, Indianapolis with Melody Sue; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Butch (Kay) Gantt, Roger (Cindy) Gantt, and Ken (Luann) Gantt all of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ledford Gantt and Bobbie Eugene Gantt, and two great-grandchildren.

Terry was a hardworking and resourceful man with an entrepreneurial spirit that guided him through life. He had a knack for finding hidden treasures and enjoyed reselling items, always seeing potential and purpose in everything he touched. Outside of work, he loved spending time outdoors, going out to eat, attending concerts, and most of all, dancing with his beloved Sue. Terry was a man of faith and regularly attended services on Sundays at Waterford Community Church. He devoted many years of his career to Solvay Automotive and, more recently, to Hoover Automotive, where his dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
