Sylvia Kropf, 93, of Goshen, died Sunday afternoon, January 1, 2006, at Greencroft Healthcare.  She had been ill the past 4 months.    She was born April 3, 1912, in LaGrange County, Indiana, to Edward J. and Mary (Weaver) Kauffman.  On June 24, 1933 she married Solomon J. Kropf.  He died November 23, 1978.   Mrs. Kropf did bookkeeping for Kropf Manufacturing, which she and her husband, Solomon, founded in 1946.  In th 1960’s she and her husband found Kropf Eldorado in Sarasota, Florida.   She was a member of the Jefferson Brethren Church and the Tuesday Night Club that included dinner and dominoes.  She enjoyed word puzzles and many games.   She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn (Sam) Wyse of Goshen; two sons, Robert (Dorothy) Kropf of Goshen and Vern (Emily) Kropf of Sarasota, Florida; ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are three sisters, Edna Lockwood and Velma (Richard) Nusbaum, both of Goshen and Irene Kauffman of Middlebury.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon; a son, Charles S. Kropf in July 2003; a sister, Orpha Eash and two brothers, Harley and David Kauffman.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at  the funeral home.   A 10:00 a.m. service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church, Goshen, will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
