Sylvia G. Bubalo, 78, of Goshen, died early Tuesday morning, October 30, 2007, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born November 25, 1928, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to Titus L. and Olive S. (Moyer) Gross. She married Vladimir L. Bubalo on March 2, 1957. He died July 21, 1989. An artist and poet, Mrs. Bubalo has lived in the Goshen area since April 1986. She is survived by a brother, Leonard (Irene) Gross of Goshen; two sisters, Miriam (Fred) Meyer of Goshen and Lois (Christopher) Leuz of Hickory, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Geraldine Harder. Friends will be received 4 to 5 p.m., Friday, November 2, in the Koinonia Room at the College Mennonite Church. Pastor Klaudia Smucker of the College Mennonite Church will officiate at the 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2007, memorial service in the Koinonia Room. Private burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to Muscular Dystrophy Association or Mennonite Central Committee.
