Susan L. Meek

Susan L. Meek, 83, of Goshen died Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born May 22, 1941 in Chicago to Franklin and Dorothy (Rae) Herdrich.

She is survived by special friend, Milt Karesh; children, Lisa Meade of Goshen, Ellen Bruner,of Syracuse, Angela (Kent) Nine of Syracuse, Michael Meek of Indianapolis, and Anthony (Jamie) Meek of Syracuse, and Scot McDowell considered by Susan as a member of the family.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Austin Nine, Tara Bruner, Josh (Melissa) Meade, Shalin (Hartley McLeod) Nine, BJ Bruner, Nate (Rachel) Meade, Erika Bruner, Krista (Tyler) Hunter, Jessie (Joe) Fox, Benjamin Sauer, Taylor (Jared) Smith, and Jacob Meek; 23 great-grandchildren, Carson, Kenidi, Skyler, Emma, Ava, Cora, Jackson, Bo, Vaeda, Granite, Remi, Rowen, Lottie. Mariah (Alex), Legend, Anavey, Aliza, Athyna, Amaya, Lincoln, MaKenna, Morgan and Collin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gareth Meek.

Susan graduated from Syracuse High School in 1959.  She played piano for Wawasee Lakeside Chapel for over 50 years, and also taught piano lessons from her home.  She teamed with Harlan and Evelyn Steffen on thousands of weddings and funeral

Susan enjoyed crocheting.  She crocheted a special blanket for each family wedding and new child born into her family.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel from 11 until the 1 p.m. funeral service.

Burial will follow at McClintic Cemetery.
