Sue A. Farmwald

Sue A. Farmwald, 95, of Goshen, died Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2007 at Greencroft Healthcare.  She was born in Locke Township, Elkhart County, Indiana, on September 25, 1911, to Abraham and Fannie (Schmucker) Farmwald.   She retired from Needlecraft in Elkhart where she worked as a seamstress making draperies.  She was a member of the Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen.   She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including her caregivers, Leon and Esther Farmwald of Nappanee; and a sister, Alda (Elmer) Slabaugh of Milford, Indiana.   She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Harvey, Levi, Alvin and Mervin Farmwald and a sister, Katherine Knisley.   A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at the West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.   A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the Waterford Mennonite Church.  Pastors Tina Schlabach and Neil Amstutz of the Waterford Mennonite Church will officiate.   Memorial contributions may be given to the Waterford Mennonite Church.
