He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters Shanna (Frank) Alfrey of New Paris & Kelli (Rick) Luther of Goshen and a son, Kevin Yoder, of Goshen. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Kaley (fiancé Skyler Hesson) Alfrey of Ohio, Carson Alfrey of Goshen, Chase Alfrey of Goshen, Tabetha (Eric) Hershberger of Wakarusa, Raven (Mike) Jenkins of Michigan, Michael Yoder of Millersburg, McKenna Yoder of Goshen, Kasen Yoder of Goshen, Angel Yoder of Goshen and 13 Great-Grandchildren; a sister, Leah Yoder, of Topeka; as well as a niece, Tina Markey, of Fort Wayne and nephew Meredith Yoder of Fort Wayne.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Steven Yoder in 2019; and a great-granddaughter Paisley Hancock.
Mr. Yoder was a dedicated truck driver for Dexter Axel for 41 years before retiring in 2009. He was the recipient of the “Million Mile Accident Free” award and held the CB handle “Double 7.” He was a Ham Radio Operator (N9IUS) and a huge train & model train fanatic. Steven loved working on and spending time with any kind of electronics and/or computers. He also like to play the lottery. He was famous for his saying "A Guy Could," giving great nickname to everyone, and making his "napkin maps." Steven had an amazing ability to navigate anywhere. He attended First Brethren Church of New Paris and was a former member of Forks Mennonite Church of Shipshewana, during his growing up years. He loved trips with his family where he could tell them very State they were in without ever consulting a map. Most of all he cherished his dear and loving family.
There will be no services, at this time, for Steven.
Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
