Steven Ray Thompson

Steven Ray Thompson, 60, passed away late Friday night, May 1, 2009, at Courtyard of Goshen.  He was born February 19, 1949, at Goshen to Raymond and Pauline (Reese) Thompson.  He lived most of his life in Goshen.  His father preceded him death while his mother survives. He graduated from Goshen High School in 1967.  Afterwards, he attended Manchester College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.  He taught Junior High School in Crawfordsville for several years.  Later, he worked at DePuy of Warsaw, Indiana, as the third shift supervisor. He is survived by his mother; one daughter, Lora (Gary) Zimmerman of Goshen; two grandchildren; one sister, Karen (Gerald) Boyd of Goshen; and two brothers, Brian (Danielle) Thompson of Elkhart, Indiana, and Kirby (Julie) Thompson of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2009, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and go in procession to the cemetery for a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Marion Hoogenboom Care House.
