Steven R. Slusher

Steven R. Slusher, 73, of Elkhart died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 at Valley View Health Care Center with a son and daughter present at his side.

He was born Nov. 25, 1944 in Goshen to Billy H. and Katherine (Truex) Slusher.

Survivors include children, Rick (Gina Marner) Slusher, Elkhart, Ryan (Stephanie) Slusher, Arizona, Shari (Cory) Powell and Scott Slusher, both of Elkhart; three adopted children, Roushea Slusher, Rachelle Slusher, and Kaytlin Slusher; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jack (Jeanetta) Slusher, Las Vegas, Nevada.

A 1964 graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Slusher owned Indiana Auto Sales, Elkhart. He raced at New Paris Speedway.

Friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 from 2 until the 4 p.m., memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Mr. Toby Miller will officiate.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
