Steven James Eger

He was born Sept. 26, 1959 to Herman and Rachel (Lynn) Eger in Elkhart.

He is survived by three sisters, Jean (Robert) Wing, Stuart, Florida, Joan (Devon) Miller, Goshen, and Chris (Jim) Stembel, Goshen; nieces and nephews, Timothy R. Wing, Lori (Ryan) Cranfill, Gary (Michelle) Miller, Mark (Amanda) Miller, Kari (Nate) Ownbey, Jonathan (Jessica) Stembel, and Stephanie Stembel; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews.

Steve was a member of Sugar Grove Church and a 1978 graduate of Penn High School.  He was project manager for Imagination Pro Media since 2005. Prior to that he had his own truck driving business Eger’s Express for 17 years. He was an avid bicyclist and member of Adventure Cycling and Rail to Trails Conservancy as well as enjoying skiing and golf.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at Sugar Grove Church. Tony Tice will officiate.

Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
