Stanley C. Zimmerman, 85, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, January 10, 2006, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born October 25, 1920, in Monticello, Indiana, to Edwin R. and Elsie L. (Kepp) Zimmerman. On December 18, 1943, in Riverside, Illinois, he married Jessie Adams Brown. She survives. He moved from Chicago to Bristol in 1979 and then to Greencroft in 2001. Mr. Zimmerman was an Accountant and Credit Manager for Groman Corporation. He served 39 months in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Little Pine Church of the Brethren and a charter member of the York center Church of the Brethren in Lombard, Illinois. He graduated from York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois and attended Northwestern University in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Jessie; a daughter, Linda (Keith) Kaelin of Sandwich, Illinois; five grandchildren; and a brother, Harold I. (Irene) Zimmerman of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Griffin and a brother, Calvin Zimmerman. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 14, at the Little Pine Church of the Brethren. An 11:00 a.m., funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Little Pine Church of the Brethren. Pastor John McFarland of Little Pine Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens West, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, at 3:30 p.m. (4:30 Indiana time) on Saturday, January 14.
