Stanley Uryga, 90, of Millersburg, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at Goshen Hospital.
    
    
   
  
   
    He was born June 6, 1926 in Wojekowa, Poland to Boleslaw and Maria (Mleczko) Uryga.
    
    
   
  
   
    On November 11, 1950 he married Dorothy Lockyer in Lichfield, England.  She died October 20, 2015.
    
    
   
  
   
    Survivors include three children, James (Sally) Uryga of Cincinnati, Ohio, John (Brenda) Uryga of Elkhart and Julie (Jack) Senger of Millersburg; a daughter-in-law, Karen (Bill) Couch of Covington, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, Megan Uryga, Christopher Uryga, Jaime Holmes, Jillian Dail, Christopher Buzas, Lindsey Ferreira, Tommy Couch, Sara Uryga, Ashley Uryga, Annie Couch, Jamie Farrell-Senger, Andrew Buzas, Victoria Anderkin, Jarrett Senger and Jenna Senger; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maria, Louise and Sophia, all of Poland; a brother, Albert Uryga of Livonia, Michigan and  a sister-in-law, Mary (Bob) Harvey of England.  Also surviving are special friends, Jacque Hagerty of Union, Michigan, Mark Buczek of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Ray and Mabel Miller of Goshen, Father Tony of St. John’s and Father Fernando of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Bremen.
    
    
   
  
   
    An area resident since 1975, Stanley was part owner of Sailor Manufacturing, Elkhart.  He was a member of St. John’s and the Knights of Columbus.
    
    
   
  
Stanley enjoyed auctions, playing canasta, spending time with his family and his church and his dog, Suki. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all.
   
    Friends may call Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen.  Father Tony Steinacker will officiate.
