Stanley L. Taber

Stanley L. Taber, 78, of Goshen passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at home surrounded by his family and faithful dog, Buddy.

He was born June 28, 1945 in Coldwater, Michigan to Clyde and Velda J. (Williams) Taber. They preceded him in death.

On February 22, 1969 he married Mary Lou Fry in Goshen.

She survives along with two daughters, Leslie (Jose) Marquez of Goshen and Kristi (Larry) McCreary of Elkhart; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Allen Taber and Tom (Margie) Taber, both of Elkhart.

Mr. Taber was a career U.S. Army service member, serving two terms in Vietnam. He and Mary Lou were members of the Honda Goldwing Road Riders Association, Goshen Chapter, and enjoyed many trips with friends.

Stanley also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was active in Elkhart County 4-H, teaching archery.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory with military honors.
