Stanley A. Hite

Stanley A. Hite, 73, of Goshen, passed away Sunday morning, July 8, 2012, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He had been ill since June 9. He was born January 31, 1939 in Goshen to the late Harry O. and Lucille (Graff) Hite. He married Diana M. Garza of Falfurrias, Texas, November 19, 1976 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Joan (Mark) Hartzler of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Deborah (Timothy) Rice of Milford, and Kathleen S. (Mike) Miller of Goshen; five grandchildren; a step-grandchild; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry O. and Russell M. Hite. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Hite served with the US Marines from 1956-61. He worked as a press operator at Western Rubber until it closed and then worked at Monaco Coach until retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was a member at both Black Squirrel and Bent Oak golf courses. Family and friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Family and friends may gather at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to go in procession to Violett Cemetery for a graveside service with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.
