Stanislaw “Stan” Pohybko, 78, of Goshen passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Center for Hospice Care, Esther’s House, Elkhart.

He was born May 10, 1948 in Hamburg, Germany to Gregory and Anna (Lacik) Pohybko. They preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Natasha (Andrew) Pohybko Wood of Bexhill on Sea, England; his beloved grandchildren, Roman and Rocco Pohybko Wood, who affectionately knew him as “Grandpa Owie Hand”; a sister, Maryln Brown of Bremen; his former wife, Katherine Pohybko of England; and his longtime companion, Carol Wilson of Niles, Michigan, her 6 grandchildren.

Stan was a salesman working in the Recreational Vehicle and automotive industries. He enjoyed NASCAR races, camping, and hunting. Farming was always a big part of his life

A celebration of life will be held from 12 until 5 p.m., Saturday July 11, 2026 at VFW Post 985, VFW 1201 W Pike street, Goshen IN 46526.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A celebration of Stan’s life will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.

Memorial donations should be directed to PANCAN.ORG for pancreatic cancer research.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family will arrangements.
