Souvanthone Insyxiengmay, 71, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born January 3, 1954 in Laos, to Kham and Phong Insyxiengmay.
He is survived by his daughter, Rattanaphone Insyxiengmay of South Bend; a son, Khornsavath Insyxiengmay of Panama City, Florida; a granddaughter, Thailya; two brothers in the USA, Phonephamit Insixiengmay and Anosone Insisiengmay; and three sisters and a brother in Laos.
Souvanthone was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother who cherished time with his loved ones. He found great joy in fishing and was a highly respected figure in the Laotian community. His dedication was evident through his influential work on the Committee for the Laos Temple. Known as a great man all around, he was deeply loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
Buddhist services will be Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
