Sonna J. Oswalt

Sonna J. Oswalt, 78, of Goshen died Thursday evening, August 21, 2014, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born April 15, 1936 in Goshen to Melvin and Verna (Stauffer) Gresso. She married Robert Wheeler in 1958, and later married Paul J. Oswalt in 1981. Surviving are two sons, Robert D. (Donita) Wheeler, of Bristol, and Jerry W. Wheeler, of Middlebury; two granddaughters, Sierra and Paige Wheeler; two sisters, Lynn (Roy) Hawkins, of Elkhart, and Jeri (Emil) Mitchell, of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; and two brothers, William Gresso, of Garland, Texas, and Richmond Gresso, of Union, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her former husband Robert, and second husband Paul, and two sisters, Gloria Morrow and Frances Sassaman. Mrs. Oswalt was a 1954 graduate of Goshen High School, homemaker, and member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, funeral service will be held. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial gifts may be given to Pleasant View Mennonite Church.
