Shirley A. Warkentin, 75, of Goshen, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022, at home.
She was born Octpber 1, 1947, in Elkhart County to John E. and Beulah Dae (Leitch) Miller.
On August 17, 1968, she married Dan Warkentin in Goshen.
He survives along with a daughter, Janell Warkentin of Elkhart; a son, Lee (Susan) Warkentin of LaGrange; eight grandchildren, Clair (Justin) Mosher, Diseree Wilson, Becca Wilson, Alicia Warkentin, Pete Wolfinger, Alley (Dalton) Johnson, Ashley Warkentin and Alex Warkentin; eight great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Patsy McCrindle of Goshen, Linda Mathews of Middlebury, Ed Miller of Missouri, Dora Miller of Cromwell, Jay (Lisa) Miller of Colorado and John Miller of Texas.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Josiah Wolfinger and a great-granddaughter, Lilly Wolfinger.
A member of Eighth Street Mennonite Church, Shirley retired from Clausing Service Center in 2008. She had also worked as a librarian for Bristol Elementary School and Bristol Public Library.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 5 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Brenda Sawatzky Paetkau will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Miller 8 Square Cemetery.
