Shirley J. Myers

Shirley J. Myers, 83, of Goshen,  passed away Sunday, Sept. 12 at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born April 19, 1938, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Survivors include three children, Jackie (Mike) Gingerich, Goshen, David (Valerie) Clingerman, Elkhart and Jerry Clingerman, Beaver, Pennsylvania; three stepchildren, Jim Myers, Gary (Dawn) Myers and Melissa (John) Contreras; five grandchildren; two great granddaughters; three siblings, Robert Weiland and Gail (Dale) Brubaker, both of Goshen and Vicki (Richard) Brindley, Bristol; and a half-sister, Marge Townsend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Myers; her father, John Weiland; her mother and stepfather, Fern and George Talford; a sister, Sharon Blosser and a half-sister, Winnifred Shafer.

A Goshen resident since 1958, Mrs. Myers was part owner of The Stop Inn.  She also worked as an accountant for Richmond Wholesale and Penn Credit Union.

Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 10 a.m., Monday, funeral service will be conducted.

Burial will follow in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial donations may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Indiana Chapter.
