Shirley Louann Kehr

Shirley Louann Kehr, 69, of Goshen, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home Friday afternoon, February 3, 2012. She was born in Goshen September 13, 1942 to the late Devon Edward and Lillian (Ponko) Kehr. She is survived by a sister, Sharon M. (Richard) Guthrie of Goshen; and two brothers, Kenneth W. (Diane) Kehr of Plymouth and Gary (Karen) Kehr of Niles, Michigan. Shirley graduated from Goshen High School in 1960, Manchester College in 1964 where she majored in music, and Wayne State University with a master's degree in 1966. A technical writer for FileNet, a software company in Orange County, California, Shirley had moved back to Goshen in 2007. An accomplished musician, she was very much into photography and crafts, making her own paper and rubber stamps. There will no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Pastor Chris Russell, Community Church of Waterford, Goshen, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
