Shirley J. Grace 60, of Middlebury, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Dec. 30, 2012, at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne following an auto accident. She was born July 25, 1952 in Michigan City, to Hilbert and Rose (Migliore) Butts. On Oct. 7, 1988 she married Claude Grace in Paris, Tenn. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Natalie Grace, of Middlebury, and Nancy Grace, of Westville; two sons, Keith Butts, of Middlebury, and Tony (Trish) Grace, of Bristol; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, Tommy, Kyle, Laura, T.J., Cody, Mariane, Josh, and Liliana; a great-granddaughter, AvaLynn; and two sisters, Carmella "Peanut" Weber, and Pat (Carl) Human, both of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia "Puggie" Austin; and a brother, Samuel Lee Butts. Shirley has been the lead laundry attendant at Greencroft for more than 20 years. She had many friends and co-workers. She loved spending time with family and friends. Everyone had a special place in her heart. She would do anything for anyone and always put others needs before her own. She will be greatly missed. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 and 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, 1:00 p.m Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen, with Rev. Father Anthony Steinacker officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
