Shirley J. Faulkner

Shirley J. Faulkner, 82, of Goshen, entered peacefully into the Lord’s presence Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Greencroft Healthcare.

Psalms 27:5 “For in the time of trouble He will hide me in his pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.”

She was born March 3, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to Ralph G. and Agnes (Maxwell) Curler.

On May 28, 1954 she married John J. Faulkner in Bay City.  He died October 28, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis (Tammie) Faulkner, David (Sherry) Faulkner and  Daniel (Lynn) Faulkner, all of Goshen; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce (Raymond) Furtaw, Dorothy (Robert) Bailey and Sandra (Al) Locke, all of Bay City, Michigan; three brothers, Lawrence (Jane) Curler, Beaverton, Michigan and Ronald (Jill Wixon) Curler and Donald (Deanna) Curler, both of Bay City, Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, Roderick; sister, Donna Schad; brothers, Ralph Jr. and Richard Curler; sisters-in-law, Cindy, Debbie and Glenda Curler, sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Pat Arnold, and a nephew Gary Beaver.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Shirley drove school bus for Goshen Community Schools for 30 years.  She enjoyed several years of Women’s Bible Study Fellowship classes and she touched many lives with her joy and love of Jesus.  She will be dearly missed.

Private services will take place at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and burial will follow in Bay City, Michigan.

Memorial donations may be given to LifePoint Church or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
