Sherry Marie Ganger, 62, of Goshen, died Sunday, October 11, 2009, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She had been ill the past two and a half years. She was born in Goshen, on January 22, 1947, to the late Dale V. Ganger and Norma (Pittman) Ganger of Goshen. She married Burton Showalter on June 4, 1967, in Goshen. He survives. A lifelong resident of the New Paris and Goshen area, Mrs. Ganger worked as a beautician and as office manager for Dome Pipe Line, part of BP (British Petroleum). She was a member of Peoples Bible Church, Benton and a 1965 graduate of Goshen High School. She loved to be with her grandchildren and entertaining. She is survived by her husband; her mother; a son, Craig (Regina) Showalter of Goshen; two daughters, Tracy (Chris) Perry of New Paris, and Lisa (Ed) Schmidt of Goshen; five grandchildren; a sister, Glenna (Dale) Pletcher of Goshen; and a brother, Jeff (Grace) Ganger of Chandler, Arizona. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor John Randolph of People's Bible Church, Benton, will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Accredo Foundation.
