Sherry L. Nisly, 56, of Goshen, died at home Tuesday, November 23, 2010. She had been ill with cancer for two and a half years. She was born August 10, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, to Clyde Bouse of Texas and the late Melba (Richards) Hardesty. She married Marcus Nisly on November 5, 1971, in Goshen. He survives. Also surviving are three children, Todd (Gaylynn) Nisly of Orange City, Florida, Eric (Ana) Nisly of Goshen and Karen (Nick) Matney of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard “Rick” (Sue) Hardesty of Spring Hill, Kansas; and three sisters, Dora (Kevin) Fleming of Olathe, Kansas, June (Randy) Heflin of Michigan, and Patsy “Joan” (Jim) Hershberger of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Hardesty. A 1973 graduate of Goshen High School and Ivy Tech, Mrs. Nisly was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church and Michiana PC Users Group. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 26, at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Richardson of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church will officiate. Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church.
