Sharon Witherspoon

Sharon Witherspoon, 87, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born August 1, 1936 in Goshen to Max and Mary (LaRue) Grant.

Sharon is survived by a daughter, Roxanne “Rocky” (Robert Unsicker, Jr.) Huffman, Elkhart; a step-daughter, Jodi Ayes, Dallas, Texas; a step-son, Toby Witherspoon, Kilgore, Texas; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary M. “Peggy” Grant, North Carolina; and a brother, Jeff (Cindy) Grant, Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Huffman; second husband, Robert C. Witherspoon and a step-son, Mark Witherspoon.

During her working career she was a Estée Lauder Counter Manager at Robertson’s Department Store, a software instructor at Northwest Harris Community College, Huston, Texas.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.

A graveside service at Violett Cemetery will take place Thursday, May 30 at 2:00 p.m.
