Sharon Louise Lantz, 72,of Goshen passed away late Saturday night, April 25, 2009, at Goshen General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born April16, 1937, to Theodore and Gladys (Hartzler) Nusbaum in Goshen where she has lived all her life. They have preceded her in death. She worked as a nursing assistant at Greencroft, as a concessionaire at Midway Auto Theater, and for a number of years at Southern Style Restaurant as a chief cook. Sharon was known as “Grandma Turtle” and “Cookie Lady”. Sharon enjoyed reading fiction and baking cookies for her family and friends in her spare time. Sharon is survived by one daughter, Catherine (Michael) Nesbitt of Goshen; two sons, Jeffery Lantz of Manhattan, Kansas and Dwayne (Susan) Lantz of Temple, Texas; five grandchildren, Robert Martin of Troy, Texas, Jennifer (Jon) Zinn of Austin, Texas, Matthew Nesbitt, Michael (Carrie) Nesbitt, and Andrew (Kellie) Nesbitt all of Goshen; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Dion (Sherry) Nusbaum of Goshen, Dennis Nusbaum of Michigan Center, Michigan, and Ralph “Rick” Nusbaum of Sarasota, Florida. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Shrock of First Baptist Church of Goshen officiating. Burial will be at Hess Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Food Pantry.
