Sharon Mae Guthrie

July 12, 1943 — March 19, 2024

Sharon Mae Guthrie, 80, of Goshen, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born July 12, 1943 in Goshen to Devon E. and Lillian J. (Ponko) Kehr.

On November 24,1963 she married Richard Lee Guthrie in Goshen. He died April 11, 2016.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberley (Richard) Hostetler of Goshen and Elizabeth (Alan) Belschner of Hoagland; three grandchildren, Kayla (Justin) Dean, Jared (Jessica) Hostetler and Jakob (EmiLee) Hostetler; two great-grandchildren, Chase Raley and Camden Hostetler; and a brother, Gary (Karen) Kehr of Niles, Michigan.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Kehr and a sister Shirley Kehr.

She worked as a CNA and Activities Director at Greencroft and retired from Oaklawn where she worked as a receptionist. Sharon enjoyed gardening and crafting; she was a very active member of Community Church of Waterford where she volunteered in many church activities.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 23 and from 1 until the 2 p.m., funeral service Sunday, March 24 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Bunyan will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Community Church of Waterford, designated for the children and youth /family area and Destiny Rescue.
