Sharon L. Eger

Sharon L. Eger, 70, of Goshen, died Monday, May 29, 2017 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born November 13, 1946 in Elkhart to Thomas J. and Martha “Pat” M. (Crowder) Moore.

On Aug. 10, 1965 she married Lester J. Eger at Sugar Grove Church, Goshen.

He survives along with a daughter, Jill A. Eger of Elkhart; three sons, David B. (Anita) Eger of Bargersville, Daniel J. (Robin) Eger of Noblesville, and Jon M. (Abby) Eger of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom (Diana) Moore of French Lick.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A lifelong area resident, Sharon graduated from Wakarusa High School in 1964.  She was a loving homemaker and child care provider.  Sharon was active in her church communities serving as a Sunday school teacher and nursery caretaker.  She was a current member of Wakarusa Bible Baptist Church, and former member of First Baptist Church, Goshen for 40 years.

Visitation will begin Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service at Sugar Grove Church, 58512 Old C.R. 17,Goshen.

Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Wakarusa Bible Baptist Church or Child Evangelism Ministry for Elkhart and LaGrange counties.
