Sharon Gayle Conrad

Sharon Gayle Conrad, 65, of Sherman, Texas, died at 5:20 pm, Saturday, April 1, 2010 at her home. She had been ill for one year with cancer.  She was born March 9, 1945 in Elkhart to the late Clifford G. and Tessie (Stevens) Gran.  She married James Conrad on March 30, 1972 in Elyria, Ohio.  He survives along with her children; Gayle (Gary) Bowers of Sherman, Texas, David (Grace) Smith of Texarkana, Texas, Heidi Laudon, Dallas of Texas, Rhonda (Chuck) Lord, Beverly (Mark) Stamper and Tricia Smith, all of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Jean Curtis, of Sherman, Texas; and a brother, Fred Pearson of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was preceded by her parents, sisters Beulah Rink and Mary Ellen Hamilton; and brothers Floyd, Clinton, and Charles Pearson. Sharon attended Elkhart High School. Her body was donated to the Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, Texas for medical research. Friends may call Saturday, April 24, 2010, for an hour prior to the 2:00 pm memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Dr. Donald Conrad of Osceola.
