Sharon “Shari” Kay Nusbaum, 81, formerly of Goshen, died Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Lakeland Hospice House, Lakeland, Florida.
She was born November 1, 1941 in Goshen to Clinton K. and Isabelle L. (Leonard) Kilmer.
On August 24, 1968 she married Dion “Don” A. Nusbaum in Goshen at Plymouth United Church of Christ. He preceded her in death.
Sharon is survived by a daughter, Cynthia A. Jones of Goshen; a step-daughter, Tamara (Troy) Sisks of Mesa, Arizona; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat Zentz of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda J. Nusbaum; a son, Bradley E. Nusbaum; a brother, Keith L. Kilmer, brother-in-law, Craig W. Zentz and special long-time partner Bob Backus.
Sharon worked as an administrative manager at Fabwell, Inc. where she retired after 18 years of service. She was an avid golfer and lover of Sheltie Sheepdogs. She was very involved in the community where she was a long-time member of the Ladies Association at Maplecrest Country Club, Women of the Moose, Post #836, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Bristol Post #143, Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., Post #985, and Ladies Association of Sand Pipers Country Club, Lakeland, FL.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 4 at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Pastor Alan Griffin will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
