Shannon A. Flauding-Doeing, 37, of Valparaiso, died early Monday morning, February 13, 2006, at her home. She had been ill 13 months. She was born in Marrero, Louisiana, to the late Kenneth and Rosemary (Perkins) Flauding. On December 5, 2005, she married David Doeing in Valparaiso. He survives. A graduate on Merrillville High School, she was a cook. She is survived by her husband, David; a daughter, Shelby Lynn Flauding; and a son, David Alan Flauding, both at home. Also surviving are two sisters, Dawn (James) Ellsworth of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Susan (William) Reisert of Fredericksburg, Indiana; and two brothers, Christopher Flauding of Bunker Hill, Indiana, and Mike (Denise) Flauding of Elkhart, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Kim Flauding. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Deacon Art Bleau will lead a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the funeral home. Rev. Father John Delaney of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Indiana.
