Scottie Dale Beard

Scottie Dale Beard, 52, of Millersburg, died Thursday, February 1, 2018, at his home after a long battle with ALS.

He was born July 15, 1965 in Charleston, West Virginia to Charles J. and Roberta (Van Morris) Beard.

He is survived by two brothers, Mike (Beth) Beard and Marty (Kim) Beard, both of Goshen; nieces, Jessica (Ryan) Yoder and Grace Beard; nephews, Matt (Marcile) Beard and Josh Beard; fiancee, Janette Yoder and her children, Kasey (Jerry) Brown and Jacob (Christy) Haney.

A Notre Dame and NASCAR fan, Scottie worked as a printing press operator at Duplex Products and attended Pleasant Ridge Missionary Church.

Friends may call Monday, February 5, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  A 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, funeral will be conducted at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church with Rev. Matt Maloney officiating.

Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to ALS Foundation or Feed the Children.
