Sarah E. "Peg" Olsen

Sarah E. "Peg" Olsen Sarah E. “Peg” Olsen, 88, of Goshen, died early Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at her home in Evergreen Place.   She was born on July 26, 1918, in Syracuse, Indiana, to Howard and Cecil (Mullin) Watkins.  She marred Edward J. Olsen on March 22, 1942, in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He died December 16, 2002.    A lifelong New Paris area resident, Mrs. Olsen graduated from New Paris High School.  She was a member of the New Paris Church of the Brethren and a former member of the Bethany Church of the Brethren.   She and her husband wintered in Brownsville, Texas for 21 years.   She is survived by two daughters, Jean (Rae) Johnston of Goshen, and Nancy Webb of New Paris; a son, Robert (Sara) Olsen of Goshen; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence (Ruth) Watkins of New Paris.   She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, William H. “Billy” Olsen; a sister, Helen Linn; and two brothers, John and Chet Watkins.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 31, at the funeral home.   A 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at Evergreen Place, 1300 Greencroft Drive, Goshen.  Rev. Stan Godfrey and Pastoral Assistant  Pamela Kling will officiate.   Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris.   Memorial contributions may be given to the New Paris Church of the Brethren or to Goshen Hospital Care at Home Hospice.
