Sarah Mae Miller, 92, of Goshen, died early Wednesday morning, August 25, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born in Nappanee, Indiana, on January 2, 1918, to Jonathan and Lucy (Kauffman) Mast. She married Eli L. Miller in Uniontown, Ohio, on January 18, 1944. He died March 14, 1984. She is survived by three daughters: Erma Humes, Mary (David) Piehl and Martha (Dennis) Ganger, all of Goshen; three sons, Marvin (Violet) Miller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Leroy (Marjorie) Miller of Goshen and Paul (Debra) Miller of Elkhart; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Lawson of Niles, Michigan and Verna Newton of Elkhart; and four brothers, Elmer Mast of Mishawaka, Rueben Mast of South Bend, Irvin Mast of Geneva, Indiana, and Chester Mast of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Edna Wittmer, Louella Ganton, Viola Hill, Clara Bontrager and Leona Lengacher; and two brothers, Emery and Christ Mast. A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was affiliated with RETA (Reason Enough To Act), Sarah’s House. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2010, at the Meetinghouse at Greencroft, Goshen and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m., service on Saturday. Pastor Ron Diener of Pleasant View Mennonite Church and Pastor Craig Garber will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Care at Home Hospice or RETA.
