Santiago Garcia Ortega, 76, died Friday, July 19, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born July 25, 1942 in Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Agapito Garcia and Julia Ortega.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; eight children, Daniel Garcia of Elkhart, Irma Garcia of Joliet, Illinois, Manual Garcia and Raquel Garcia, both of Mexico, Mario Garcia of Chicago, Illinois, Santiago Garcia of Dallas, Texas and Gustavo Garcia of Goshen; 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Angeles Garcia, Goshen.
Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2019, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A Rosary Service will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
The funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
