Sandy C. Xayyavongsa

Sandy C. Xayyavongsa, 24, of Elkhart, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, March 15, 2014, at Elkhart General Hospital following an asthma attack. She was born August 5, 1989 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Kongthong and Kamkhay (Thammovngsa) Xayyavongsa. She is survived by her parents; a son, Kai Xayyavongsa, at home; two sisters, Kay Xayyavongsa, and Joy Keosakdy; and a brother, Tony Xayyavongsa, all of Elkhart. Sandy worked at Dexter in Bristol. Friends may call 12-1 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 1:00 p.m. funeral ceremony will be conducted by the Buddhist Monks of Elkhart. Cremation at Yoder-Culp Crematory will follow the ceremony.
