Sandra “Sandy” F. Rohn, 65, died at 3:00 pm Friday, March 4, at the home of her daughter, Kelly Brown. She had been ill for a few weeks. She was born in Detroit to the late James M. and Martha A. Sexton Belcher. She married Gerald “Rohnnie” Rohn, July 2, 1962 in Goshen. He died February 17 of this year. Sandy is survived by four children, Dagney (Dave) Slater, Kelly (Ty) Brown, Andrea (Jimmy) Adams, and Rick Rohn. 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Sandy and Gerald were foster parents to 102 children. She is also survived by her siblings, Carolyn Adkins, Delphia Reynolds, Sharon Douglas, Lilly (Carl) Smith, Penny (Dallas) Damron, Dielene (Bill) Irelan, Roger Ratliff and April (Jose’) Salas. Sandy was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Brown in 2002 and one sister, Janice Culbreath, and two brothers, James and Richard “Buddy” Ratliff. Sandy worked beside her husband as assistant sexton at Oakridge cemetery for 35 years, and retired with him in 2002. She was a lifetime member of both the women’s auxiliaries at the Goshen D.A.V. and the Goshen V.F.W. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-6 pm at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Lenny Krebs will officiate at the service. Private family burial will take place at a later date at Oakridge cemetery, Goshen.
