Sandra Lou (Eggers) Abbott, 81, of New Paris, passed away at her residence on February 10, 2026.
She was born on February 16, 1944, in Lexington, Nebraska, to George and Elphe (Baugher) Eggers. On December 30, 1962, she married Jack L. Abbott in Crawford, Nebraska. Together they shared over 63 years of marriage and were blessed with two daughters.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Jack L. Abbott; her daughters, Deb (Cory) Hall of Winterset, Iowa, and Polly Goeglein of New Paris, Indiana; and her cherished grandchildren, Bryson Hall, Whitney (Luke) Moulton, and Trevor Hall, Alexis (Jarrett) Walbolt, Brock (Hannah) Goeglein, Caleb Jack (Kennedy) Goeglein, Dahlia Goeglein, Lamar Goeglein, Andrew Goeglein, and Julian Goeglein, She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Theodore and Elliott Moulton. In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Randy (Helen) Eggers of Idaho and Jeff Eggers of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Gordon Eggers, Russell Eggers, and Marlene Mohler.
Sandra worked as an office manager for the family business, Jack’s Refrigeration in Alliance, Nebraska. She later served as a bookkeeper alongside her husband during his nine years of ministry at Gordon Berean Church in Gordon, Nebraska. A devoted pastor’s wife, Sandra faithfully supported the church and its members with grace and dedication.
She loved reading, sewing, and quilting, and found great joy in teaching Sunday School and AWANA. Sandra deeply loved being in church and had a steadfast love for the Lord. She was a consummate helpmate, faithfully serving her family and others with a willing and generous heart.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Peoples Bible Church in Benton, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor John Randolph.
Memorial donations may be directed to Child Evangelism Ministries at childevan.org.
