New Paris – Sandra Gillis, 79, died Saturday, June 16 at Goshen Hospital.
She was born Dc. 24, 1938 in Goshen to Russell and Mary (Reynolds) Sark.
On Sept. 26, 1957 she married Colson E. Gillis. He died Nov. 5, 2012.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy (John) Schrock, New Paris; three sons, Donald Gillis, Henderson, Nevada, Ron Gillis, Jones, Michigan and John (Nanette) Gillis, Elkhart; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three siblings, Dale (Kathy) Sark, David (Diane) Sark and Eva (Jerry) Myers, all of Millersburg.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Tyson and Marilyn Linville.
She was a member of Landmark Apostolic Church and attended Gospel Echoes Temple, both in Goshen.
Mrs. Gillis worked at Pine Manor, Richmond Wholesale and as a home health care provider. She also worked on the farm, milking cows.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Thursday funeral service at Bethany Church of the Brethren, New Paris.
Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery, Topeka.
