Sally E. Havens, 80, of Goshen, died Friday evening, November 23, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born in Jonesville, Michigan, on July 18, 1927, to Albert Edward and Iva Merle (Stiverson) Gould. She married Robert L. Havens on May 31, 1947, in Grass Lake, Michigan. He preceded her on September 14, 2005. A homemaker, Mrs. Havens graduated from Grass Lake High School in Michigan. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, the Goshen Hospital Auxiliary, the Bashor Home Auxiliary and a life member of Evening Guild. She is survived by two sons: Robert E. Havens of Chelsea, Michigan and Timothy L. (Patrice) Havens of Goshen; two daughters, Lucinda K. (James) French of Duluth, Minnesota and Deborah S. (Terry) Smith of Goshen; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, B. Joan Stoker of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and a brother, Floyd I. (Margaret) Gould of Grass Lake, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and three brothers, Frank and Roger Gould and Charles Thompson. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 26, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Am 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen. Rev. Tim Terrell will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church or to Federated Church of Grass Lake.
