Salina E. Yoder, 69, of Shipshewana, passed away at her home Thursday afternoon, Oct. 16, surrounded by family. She was born in Nappanee on Dec. 10, 1944 to Emmon and Salina (Hochstetler ) Schmucker. She married John A. Yoder July 21, 1972. He survives along with three children and five grandchildren, Amee (Erick) Click and Abigael and Aden Click, Marc (Janet) Yoder and Junia Yoder and Caryn (Brenton) Fish and Cooper and Boedy Fish; two brothers, Freeman Schmucker and Levi (Millie) Schmucker; and three sisters, Edna Stoltzfus, Malinda (Leroy) Hochstetler and Mahala (John)Troyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harvey Schmucker and Marvin Schmucker. Salina shared a very close relationship with her twin sister, Jemima Yoder, who preceded her in death by six years and one day. Salina was anticipating their reunion. Salina enjoyed time at the beach and wintered in Florida. An accomplished cook, she loved to entertain and spend time with her family. An avid reader, she was a librarian at Shipshewana Library for many years. Friends may call Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and on Monday from 9 until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, October 20, 2014, at First Brethren Church, Nappanee. Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Mission, Elkhart and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
