Ruth E. Wilson

Ruth E. Wilson, 93, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her home.

She was born January 29, 1924 in Goshen to Rev. Harry McKinley and Clara Mare (Swihart) Gunderman.

On April 7, 1948 she married Woodrow Wilson in Elkhart.

He survives along with a son, Dan (Marcia) Wilson of Goshen; a daughter, Sarah (Paul) Skiles of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Rebecca Wilson and two brothers, Harry J. and Reinhold Gunderman.

A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Wilson was office manager for Drs. Neidballa and Horsewell, Bristol and Dr. George Mark, Elkhart.

She was a member of the Dunkard Brethren Church where her father once pastored.

Ruth enjoyed quilting, making comforters and gardening.  She was a wonderful cook and known for her desserts.  She also enjoyed vacationing in the White Pine, Colorado family cabin that they built.  Her greatest joy was spending time with the entire family

Friends may call Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Saturday funeral service will be conducted.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Torreon Navajo Mission, Haiti Deaf Academy for Children or Faith Mission, Elkhart.
