Ruth Viola Weaver, 84, of Goshen, died late Saturday night, February 2, 2013 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing after an extended illness. She was born March 27, 1928 in Foreman, North Dakota to Clifford and Clara (Nelson) Bolsinger. She married Wayne L. Weaver, July 10, 1948 in Bremen. He died January 12, 2010. Surviving are four children Louanna (LaMar Davis) Stankovich of North Webster, Colleen Lawhorn of Elkhart, Kent L. Weaver and Tina (Deb Bussard) Weaver, both of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Brent (Christi) Stankovich of Wakarusa, Brian (Amber) Stankovich of Milford, Michigan, Ryan Lawhorn and Stacy (Adam Greenwalt) Lawhorn, both of Elkhart; seven great-grandchildren, Megan, Sydney, Emily, Nick, Beau, Brooklyn and Ty; and a sister, Lorraine Stump of Ontario, California. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Harvey N. Stump. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart, she was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Michiana Rental Association. Following her retirement from CTS she studied interior design at Ivy Tech graduating with honors. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 7, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 funeral service will be held. Pastor Robert Schallhorn will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
