Ruth Ladonna Leatherman

Ruth LaDonna Leatherman, 100, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her daughter’s home.

Ruth was born December 22, 1922 in Monroe, Washington, to Francis B. and Magdalena (Wagler) Miller.

She is survived by four sons, Lonny Smith of Bristol, Jerry (Ellen) Smith, of Goshen, John Smith of Bristol and Kevin (Shelly) Smith of Dunlap; a daughter, Cheryl Yoder of Goshen; a step-son-in-law, Gerald Kauffman of Middlebury; 14 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Francis Miller, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Jerry Lee Smith and Clifford Leatherman; brothers, Joseph, Abner, Roy and Phillip Miller; sisters, Agnes Leatherman, Leona and Margaret Miller, Clara Blucker and Vera Troyer; step-daughters, Darlene Sherck and Sandra Kauffman; and step-son, Vern Leatherman.

A homemaker, Mrs. Leatherman was a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Hospice Chaplain Neil Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will follow in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
