Ruth R. Kyle, 103, of Goshen, died late Saturday morning, March 22, 2008, at The Courtyard. She had been in failing health since September 2002. She was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan to George F. and Susannah (Cripe) Riley, on June 18, 1904. She married Fley F. “Skeet” Kyle on April 14, 1923 in Goshen. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1984. A Goshen resident since the age of two, Mrs. Kyle was a member of the First Baptist Church, Goshen. She worked as a sewing machine operator and supervisor for Goshen Cushion and Body, retiring in 1965. She is survived by a son, Glen (Norma) Kyle of Goshen; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Randall Kyle; four brothers, Clyde, Harry, Albert and Frank Riley; and two sisters, Madge Markley and Genvieve Beckner. There will be no visitation. A 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2008, graveside service will be conducted at Pleasant View Cemetery, Goshen. Rev. Louis Showers will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
