Ruth L. Kumnick, 101, of Goshen, died Wednesday evening, March 8, 2006, at Americare Living Center, Goshen. She was born July 5, 1904, in Leesburg, Indiana, to Abram and Survilla (Osborn) Bordner. On February 7, 1923 she married Raymond Kumnick in Montpelier, Ohio. He died in 1973. Mrs. Kumnick had worked at the former Penn Controls in Goshen for 23 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and baking. She is survived by three granddaughters, Marsha Schelling and Sandra Herrli, both of Goshen, and Pam Price of Warsaw; a grandson, Daniel Hollinger of Syracuse; ten great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchidlren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Barbara Lung and Jean Custer; and a brother, Mark Bordner. Friends may call 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:00 p.m. service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the funeral home. Pastor Jim Brown of the Grace Community Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be given to the Grace Community Church, Goshen.
