Ruth Pauline Davis

Ruth Pauline Davis, 87, of Goshen, died Friday morning, December 15, 2006, at Greencroft Healthcare.   She was born on April 21, 1919, in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Harry and Ruth (Pickell) Heinley.  She married Robert Cummings on September 14, 1949 in Long Beach, California.  On August 14, 1964 she married Wendell Davis, also in Long Beach, California.   A resident of the area since 1995, Mrs. Davis worked as an executive secretary at McDonnell-Douglas for 21 years.  She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Clinton Cliques.   She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ford, Goshen; two sons, Robert Cummings of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gary Cummings of Cheney, Washington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne (Ira) Franklin of Mesa, Arizona; and a brother, Robert (Sue) Heinley of Bakersfield, California.   She was preceded in death by both of her husbands.   Friends will be received 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, December 18, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held.  Pastor Ed Fritz will officiate.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Greencroft Foundation or Bashor Home.
